THE SUB-DIVISION AND SALE OF THE CELEBRATED SHOW GROUNDS, At the Junction and Boundary of the Towns of PETONE and THE HUTT. IN THE EXCHANGE LAND MART, i No. 84, Lambton-quay, Wellington. CN WEDNESDAY EVENING, DEC. 14, ISO4 a at 7.30 o'clock. MAODONALD, WILSON AND CO. (in - conjunction with Messrs. r D\VAN BROS.) are favoured with instructions from the Proprietors to sell by public auction as above — 1 A*i (ONE HUNDRED AND I^o X^tO FORTY-THREE) J-ffcO GRAND BUSINESS AND RESIDENTIAL BUILDING SECTIONS, being the sub-division of the well-known Show Grounds, situated in the Town of Petone, and forming portion of the boundary between the Towns of Potonc and tho Hutt Tho One Hundred and Forty-three Building Sections to be offered at this sale are, in' many respects, superior to tho subdivisions wo have submitted for many years past. A large number of them front Cubastreet, the main highway between Petone and tho Hutt, and tho future chief business thoroughfare of the two suburbs. The sections are absolutely flat, no expenso being required for filling-in or excavation prior to building. Being situated between tho Towns of Petono and the Hutt, they will form the nucleus of a new Business Centre of immense importance to the large number of residents who have already located themselves in and about Alicetown, and immediately opposite the property. On each of the sections a splendid flow of artesian water can be obtained, and on several of the sections pipes have been put down and tho water is now flowing. Tho Borough of Petono is now devising extensive ,improvom6nts in tho way of drainage, water supply, etc., so as to make the borough an up-to-date object-lesson to other municipalities throughout the colony. Both the Hutt Borough Council and tho Petono Borough Council's Engineers are also preparing the plans of a scheme for diverting and carrying off all surface water from tho hills. Arrangements are being made -for a splendid service of new Motor Car 'Busses between tho Railway Stations of Pelone and the Hutt. These Motor Car 'Busses are said to bo far superior in comfort and convenience to the Electrio Cars, as they can go anywhere and stop anywhere, and the cost of carriage is far below that of tho Electric Tram Car Services. The rapid development of the Town of Petone, and of the lands immediately surrounding it, is one of "the wonderful surprises to those unacquainted with the forces that aro daily at work compelling it to forgo ahead. The straightoning of tho railway line between Wellington and Fctone, now rapidly proceeding, will jeduco tho time occupied in tho journey to cloven minutes, and be no mean factor in adding to Petone's present attractions either for business, residence, or the investment of capital. • The Town' of Petone stands absolutely unique in tho history of tho colony in this respect For the past- twenty years every man who has invested £100 in tho purchase of its lands has increased his original capital many times. As an example of how quickly money is made vi Petono," we may instance this recent fact. In the month of August, 1903, we sold a small block of land not far from the Show Grounds f0r ,£3050. Last month we re-sold %&£ Bu2-68 u 2 - 68 ' C r a p?ofit t0 the buyers °f £5218 within fifteen months. No one having a few pounds to spare should hesitate at this stage in investing in these lands. Within a very brief period every half-acre between the Towns of Petono and the Hutt will bo coverod'with manufactories and residences, and its value will have increased tenfold. There may bo doubts as to tho stability and permanency of 'improvement in certain parts of the colony. Thore are nono as to the advantages and future of all that pertains to Petone and its surroundings. The Terms of Sale have been fixed on a basis to enable every man of ambition and energy to acquire a Business or a Home ,Site.
