THE TEST CASE. [BY TELI3GBATH — OW& COBEESPONPEifT.] DUNEDIN, This Day.. I understand that, acting on the advice of the Solicitor-General, the appeal against Dr. M 'Arthur's decision in the test case under the Shops and Offices Act will bo taken by the Labour Department direct to the Full Court. This was tho course adopted in respect to the Newtown licensing cases. Attention is directed to the fact that a meeting of drapers, clothiers, hatters, and mercers, who are favourable to 6 o'clock , closing movement, will be held at Godber's Rooms to-morrow (Friday) evening, at 8 o'clock sharp. As important matters will be brought forward, it is hoped that there will be a large attendance.
