THE CAMPAIGN IN MANCHURIA.
JAPANESE ATTACK REPULSED. LONDON. 30th November. General Kuropatkin reports that General Rennenkampf, in repelling a fresh attack, foiled a Japanese turning movement on 28th November (last Monday). The bodies of two hundred and thirty Japanese dead were collected. Many rifles and tools used for entrenching purposes were also gathered up. General Sakharoff reports that the Japanese on the Russian left slowly retired. THE TROOPS AT SIIAHO. IN COMFORTABLE TRENCHES. (Received December 1, 7.41 a.m.) LONDON, 30lh November. The Japanese at Shaho arc in comfortable trenches, warmed by underground flues similar to the Chinese khangs. The men are yell clad and fed.
