There were no bankrupti^'es in Wellington during the month <*f November. During the corresponding month in 1903 there were two bankruptcies. The Flaxbourne compensation case is to commence at Blenheim to-day, before Mr. Justice Cooper. All the substantial iron supports for the platform covering at the Petone Rai}way Station have now been placed in position. The trouble that recently ai-ose in consequence of a mistake — for, writes our Petone correspondent, a slight mistake was made, despite denials to the contrary — is to be overcome by an extension of the width of the station platform.
