Weather. — B, blue sky, be the atmosphere clear or heavy; C, clouds, passing clouds; D, drizzling rain; >', foggy; U, gloomy, dark weather; U, hail; L, lightning; M, misty; O, overcast, the whole sky covered with thiak clouds; P. passing showers; Q, squally; X, rain, continued ram; S, snow; T, thunder; U, ugly, threatening appeal auce. WEATHER FORECAST FOR 24 HOURS FROM 9 a.ni 10-DAY. Wind. — Moderate to strong from between north-east and cast and south northward of Thames and Raglan and southward of Castlepoint and New Plymouth; strong to gale from same direction elsewhere. Barometer. — Fall at places eastward of Thames, Raglan, and Napier. Rise everywhere else. Sea. — Heavy on eastern coast northward of Cape Campbell. Moderate e'sewhere. Tides. — High on eastern coast of North Island. Moderate at all other ports. Rain is probable eastward of Thames, Taupo, and Napier. Warning signals for easterly gale is exhibited at East Cape. SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS. Northward of East Cape. Thames, aud Jlanukau there has been but little movement of the barometer, but it has continued to fall slowly everywhere cjse.
