WELLINGTON AMATEUR ATHLETIC CLUB'S SPORTS.

TO-MORROW'S GATHERING. The jirospect of the visit to New Zealand of tl# world's amateur champion athletes — Messrs. Shrabb, Duffey, and Morton — has stimulated interest in tlie local club's contests, which take place on the Basin Reserve to-morrow afternoon. The New Zealand champions — Messrs. F. Ross and W. H. Pollock, who represented New Zealand at the last Australasian championship meeting a.t Melbourne, will compete in several events from scratch, Messrs. L. B. Webster (ex-New Zealand champion sprinter) arid T. Stubbs (runnerup for the last 100 yds and 220 yds New Zealand championship) will contest these distances, and their form will be narrowly watched, as the team for next championship" honours will be selected on today's running. T. Craig, a coming hurdle racer, will- measure strides with the ex-cjiampion, M. Rosengrave, whose fame as a runner over obstacles is worldwide.
