9 [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] DUNEDIN, This, Day. Mr. George Stephenson has arranged that his forces shall combine with those of Fitzgerald's Circus and Mr. John Fuller in organising a costume cricket match in aid of the Gertie Campion fund. The fixture will come off at the end of next month. Mr. A. H. Fisher, the winner of the golf championship, represented his province for many years on the cricket field. He is one of our prominent lawn tennis players, and to-day secured the golf championship of the colony, beating his opponent in the final, Mr. E. H. MucEwan, by 3 up and 2 to play. Fisher played consistently throughout. The first cricket matches for the season's championship were concluded on Saturday, all being decided on the firs>t innings. Dunecliu, 102 and 54 for seven wickets, defeated Albion, 50 and 158. Carisbrook B, 164, defeated Grange, 114 and 45 for eight wickets. Carisbrook A, 195 and 85 for one wicket, had an easy win over Opoho, 101 and 85 for nine wickets.
