The destroyers Bat and Pnnther collided on Thursday night, and had to return to Malta for repairs. THE LATE SIR HENRY NORMAN. LONDON, 30th October. The King and Queen condoled with Lady Norman on the death of her husband, the kite Sir Henry Norman. Sir Dighton Probyn (Keeper of the Privy Purse and Extra Equerry to the King) represented His Majesty at the funeral at Brompton Cemetery. Lord Methuen and Mr. Arnold-Forster, Secretary of State for War, were amongst those present. DALGETY AND CO. LONDON, 30th October. Messrs. Dalgety and Co.'s balance-sheet shows a profit of £115,507. A dividend of 5 per cent, has been declared, £10,000 carried to the reserve fund, and £55,507 carried forward. THE STEAMER MIOWERA. SYDNEY, 3Qth October. The underwriters have received advice that the steamer Mioweiu grounded on entering Vancouver harbour, but subsequently floated off without assistance. AN ADELAIDE SENSATION. (Received October 31, 10.24 a.m.) ADELAIDE, This Day. A young man named Bonfield murdered his sweetheart by shooting her with a revolver. Jealousy is supposed to have actuated the young man in committing the crime.
