WEATHER FOHECAST FOR 24 HOURS FROM 3 a.m 10-DAY. Wind.— Moderate from the westward »t all ' places northward of Napier and v New Plymouth. Strong to gale from between north-east and north and west thence southward to Hokitika and Lyttelton, and from between north and west and gouth-west all other places. Barometer.— Rise at all places northward oi Napier and New Plymouth. Fall everywhere else. Sea. — Considerable on all western coast and at Cape Campbell. Moderate elsewhere. Tides.— Good on both' coasts of South Island and on western coast of North Island. Moderate at all other ports. Rain is probable in most parts of the South Island. Warning signals for northerly gales ore exhibited at Capeß Campbell, Foirtwmd, Farewell Spit, and Nugget Point, and to vessels from the northward at East Cape. SYNOPSIS OF LAST 48 HOURS. Northward of Napier and New Plymouth the barometer has continued to rise slowly," but it hns made but little movement in all other parts of the country.
