Additional particulars of the casualties at the Battle of Shaho aie still being published. After the battlo the following Russian dead were buried by the Japanese : — By C4eneral Kuroki ... 5200 By General Oko . . 5603 By General Nodzu „. 2530 Total .. .. 13,333 The total Russian prisoners taken numbered 709. Reuter's Agency reports that while clearing the field near Shaho the Japanese found nine abandoned Russian guns. FOUR MILES APART. OKO'S ARMY REINFORCED. LONDON, 25th October. The Russians recrossed the Shaho on the left on the 21st inst (last Friday). They are entrenching as they advance, since it is impossible to face the shrapnel fire of the enemy without protection. Less than six versts (about four miles) separate the armies. • Want of fuel is proving a serious drawback. Reuter's Agency reports that General Oko is receiving large reinforcements. THE JAPANESE LOAN. (Received October 26, 9.15 a.m.) LONDON, 25th October. The* Japanese loan of £8,000,000 was covered a week before the list opened.
