Wind.-^-Strong to gale from between northeast and north and west at all places northward of Thamca and Manukau, and from between north-east and east and south cleewheie. Barometer.— Fall everywheret Sea.— Heavy on eastern coast northward of Lyttelton and on western coast northward of Cape Farewell. Moderate elsewhere. I'ides. — High on all eastern coast northward of Lyttelton, and on western coast of North Island , good southward of X/yetelton. Moderate all other ports. Rain is to be expected, and heavy in the North Island.
