The departure of the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Rimutaka. hag been postponed 'rom Thursday until daylight on Friday morning. The Union Company has decided to send the Whangape to Westport this evening instead of to Newcastle us previously intended. The vessel is to load coal for Sydney at the West Coast port to the order of the Admiralty. The Rotoiti, due from Onehunga and New Plymouth to-morrow morning, is bringing 4440 boxes of butter for transhipment to the Rimu-l-aka. The steamer Cygnet, which has been enfaged in the Wellington-Kaikoura-Oheviot-yttelton trade during the winter, is to be withdrawn from the through trade after the present trip, and Until about April next ohe will work the bays from Lyttelton. The Patea trader Aorere, whioh has been laid up for an overhaul for some weeks put, Is nbout to resume running. Captain Tinney, late of the s.t. Aotea, is to tnke charge Ol the vessel in place of Captain Petersen.
