SHOOTING AT TRENTHAM. A shifting -wind interfered with the shooting scores at Trentbam range on Saturday. Three corps continued competitions, while the Kelburne Rifles held class firing. WELLINGTON GUARDS. The Wellington Guards shot the final match of their first competition. The ranges were 600 yds and 700 yds, nine shots at each. Bourke ... 27 7 12 —46 In the A Class, Private Lacey, who was second on Saturday, -wins the competition, from scratch, with, tho aggregate score of 134, .Sergt. Bolland (132) second, Pvt. Schulenburg (131) third. In the B Class, there is in the aggregate a tie between Lance-Corporal Watson and Private Bourke, with a score of 104 each. They will shoot off for the trophy next Saturday. Each of the three placed men in last Saturday's match wins a cash, prize. ZEALANDIA RIFLES. Zealandia Rifles are shooting a series of six matches for the belt of the corps and other trophies. The second match was fired on Saturday; ranges — 600 yds and 700 yds, seven shots at each. It resulted in giving a lead to Col.'Sergfc. Bunckenberg, who shot very well at the shorter range. Next Saturday these duties will be entrusted respectively to Lieut. Smith (Zealandia Rifles) and Lieut. Price (Submarine Miners). WELLINGTON NAVALS AT MIRAMAR. The Wellington Navals' competition for belt and trophies, continued at Miramar on Saturday afternoon, was headed by P.O. Ross. The ranges were 200 yds and 300 yds, seven shots at each.
