FITZHERBERT-STREET, PETONE. mHE ESTATE OF ELIJAH WILTON. IMPORTANT LAND TRANSACTIONS. (Extract from N.Z. Times, Ist October, 1904). Messrs. Dwan Bros, have completed, on behalf of a fcyndicate, the purchase from the executors in the estate of the late Elijah Wilton the well-known Ohiro homestead, consisting of 259 acres, the price paid to tho Wilton Estate being £23,000. The property reaches from the Heppy Valley-road down to near the Levin Home, Britomart-street on the west, and on the north adjoins E. W. Mills-road to the Brooklyn and Vogoltowh end. The property will be subdivided and placed on the market in building sites as soon as tho nccGbsary surveys have been made. This block of land is close to the City of Wellington, and tho voto for the electric trams having been approved of by tho ratepayers, it will now only be a. short time before this important suburb will be biought within easy distance of the city. When the electric trams -are running, the Happy Valley-road widened, and the improvements in lowering and widening Ohiro-road, etc., which have been approved of by the ratepayers, have been made, this locality promises to become a populous suburb of this city. In answer to the v.cry many enquiries made by persons desirous of purchasing sections in the Wilton Farm Estate, Brooklyn, Berhampore, and Happy Valley, Messrs. Dwan Bros, beg to announce that a meeting of the Syndicate will bo held at an early date, when arrangements will be made for the immediate survey of the property and the placing of the Sections in the market at an early date. It \\ tho intention of tho proprietory to sell thia property at a very reasonable rate, as they were fortunate in securing it at a very low figure, their option having been secured buforo the poll for the Electric Trams extoneion to Brooklyn was carried!
