At the Baptist Confeience a motion was passed expressive of high appreciation of the cci vices of the late Mr. Frederick Battley, of Auckland. The annual report stated that for home mission work the income had quadrupled. The Children's Home at Auckland has forty-five orphans at present Returns from thirty-nine churches and twenty-five preaching stations show a total membership of 3983, a gain of 998 for the y«a<r.
