Wind. — Strong from between north and west and south-west at all places northward of Napier and Raglan. Strong to gale from same direction at all places southward of Hokitika and Tunaru, and from between northeast and north and west elsewhere. Barometer. — Fall eveiy where. Sea.— Considerable on all western coast and at Cape Campbell. Moderate elsewhere. Tides.— Good on all western coast and on eastern coast southward of Tinmru. Moderate all othei ports. Itain is probable southward of Napier and Raglan. Warning signals for northerly gales are exhibited at Capes Campbell, Foulwmd, Farewell Spit, and Nugget Point. SYNOPSIS OF LAST 24 HOURS. Northward of, Napier and New Plymouth the barometer lias continued rising slowly, but has fallen slowly everywhere else. Moderate westerly winds have been ctperii-nced ' northward ol Napier mid Capo Eginont, and moderate ninth* ' ly winds thence southwnrrl with generally line weather. Frost is reported fiom Taupo. R.
