On the application of the Chief Health Officer for the colony, the Stipendiary Magistrate here has directed that a summons be issued against the Timaru and Temuka Borough Councils, the Levels County Council, Geraldine Town Board, Geraldine Road Board, and Temuka Road Board, to show cause why fc'ney should not contribute towards the cose of providing and maintaining an infectious diseases ho&pital for the Borough of Timaru and surrounding districts. The case will come on for hearing on 7th November.
