Mr. Gilruth, Chief Go\ eminent Vctcrtiarian, last night addressed a big meeting of farmers in regard to black-leg. He agreed to recommend a modification of quarantine restrictions, so that vaccinated calves may leave the district, und will also recommend that calve 3be vaccinated, before crossing the Mana ; wapou River, as the district between that und the Wanganui River is said to be clean ; and th*t no calves be sold in a quarantined area unless vaccinated. fIIMARU, This Day.
