EXPLORING EXPEDITION.
COAL MINES IN THE SOLOMON ISLANDS. [PRESS ASSOCIATION.] (Received October 19, 9.56 a.m.) LONDON, 18th October. Lord Fitzwilliam (who has travelled much in India and Europe, and who is much interested in engineering, especially in mining engineering) and party are sailing in the steamer Veronique on an exploring expedition in the Pacific. It is believed the party will explore the coal mines in the Solomon Islands.
