[rRESS ASSOCIATION.] AUCKLAND, 11th October. The statement of finances of the Auckland Harbour Board for the quarter ended 30th September, laid before the Board, showed that the revenue for the last nine months was £4800 more than, that for the corresponding three quarters of last year. The increase in revenue for the past four or five years has been about £5000 a year, but the increase for the current year, judged by the figures for the past nine months, will be nearly £6000. The second shipment of Auckland butter this season, which left by the Rotoiti for transhipment at Wellington, consisted of 3244 boxes. The corresponding shipment last season was 2260 boxes. The Government grader estimates the total output for the season at 120,000 boxes, as against 100,000 last year. This Day. The wholesale warehousemen in Auckland, and ironmongers, drapery, and grocery establishments, are signing petitions asking Parliament to eliminate them from the Shops and Offices Bill. INVERCARGILL, 11th October. The Southland Sawmillers' Association is addressing a letter to the district'members, requesting them to meet a deputation to the Premier on Friday, and support him in his endeavour to protect an important industry by placing a duty on imported timber. The wholesale warehouse employees here have signed a protest against their inclusion m the Shops and Offices Bill.
