DEPARTURE FROM GREYMOUTH.

OTIRA, 3rd October. The Premier left Gi-eymouth by train at 3.30 o'clock, and went through to Otira. He was received by small gatherings at several of the stations en route, and at Poerua was presented with an address from the school children, read by a small girl. In replying he incidentally mentioned that he intended to suggest to the Minister of Railways that the needs of the district, especially in the matter of the timber trade, would warrant a daily train service.
