Wind. — Moderate from the westward at all places northward of Cape Egmont and Napier; stiong to gale from between north-eaßt and north and west elsewhere after from 12 to 20 hours. Barometer.— Rise slowly at all places northward of Napier and New Plymouth. Fall soon elsewhere. Sea.— Considerable' on all western coast and at Cape Campbell. Moderate elsewhere. Tides.— Hifrli on eastern coast at Cape Campbell and southward of Lyttelton; good on all western coast.* Moderate all other ports. Rain is probable in the South Island. Warning signals for northerly gnles will be exhibited at Capes Campbell, Foulwind, and Farewell Spit after sunrise, and is now shown at Nugget Point. SYNOPSIS OP LAST 24 HOURS.
