MISS MENKMEYER'S RECITAL.

A large audience was present at Miss Florence Menkmeyer's eighth recital, given, in the Alexandra Hall last evening. Tho opening piece was Beethoven's Sonata op. 31 ; the vocal selections included Gounod's "O Divine Redeemer," Elizabeth's Prayer from "Tannhauser," "Deh Viene" (Mozart), and soveral ballads, including, as encores, "Love was once a Littlo Boy," and' "I love my Love." The pianoforte recital contained a varied select-ion, including Mendelssohn's "Wedding March" with the elves' music, Chopin's "Funeral March" and "Polonaise," Liszt's "Hungarian Rhapsody," and Miss Menkmoyer's "Wanderings in tho Black Forest." The audience was highly appreciative, and a number of items were encored.
