DIX'S GAIETY COMPANY.
Tho new programme was ushered in auspicuonsly on Saturday night before a large audience, and is of a high level of merit. Mr. Fred H. Graham, who is . always recalled, is at his best. Miss Fanny Powers still arouses wonder with her juvenile powers of mimicry. The cakewalkers maintain their popularity, and Ventriloquist Winton and the other artists all get good receptions from appreciative audiences. At to-night's performance, his Excellency the Governor and Buito will bo present. THE SKATING! RINK. The skaters still "go merrily " afc the Skating Rink, and on Saturday there was the usual throng of thoro who glide and those who look. The band plays sympathetic music, and any one who goes to the Rink and does not come away wishing to be a skater must be proof against any attractions. Hockey on skates will be the attraction on Wednesday evening. The exponents are members of the Wellington Hockey Club.
