HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.
Tho House met at 2.30 p.m. A number of school teachers petitioned, through Mr. J. C. Thomson, that a Teachcts' Superannuation Bill bo passed into law this session. Mr. Barbei 1 gave notice lo ask the Government whether it will this session introduco legislation to prev-ont the erection of brick kilns in thickly-populated centres. The Premier statod that as the result of a conference with tho Leader of the Opposition, he had decided to ask tho House to go into Supply on an Imprest Supply Bill this afternoon, leaving oyer till Tuesday his motion for enquiry into the question of land tenure. Tho Leader of tho Opposition agreed to the Premier's proposition, on condition that no motion came on on Tuesday before tho Premier's motion on tho land question. The Imprest Supply Bill was then introduced. (Left sitting).
