• NEW SOUTH WALES TEAM. [BT TBX.SOBAPU—PHES3 ASSOCIATION.] AUCI^AND, This Day. The members of tho New South Wales Association football team arrived by tho Mararoo,, and were welaomed by the Mayor this morning. They play their first match at Auckland on Wednesday.
A team from tho Swifts Club played an eleven from the 11.M.5. Tatuanga, J <vnd tho gome ended in a draw—two goals each. Tho former had two men uhort. The warship men had the wind behind them in thq firc»t ,*pell, and kept their opponents busily defending almost, Iho whole spell. Their first goal wai the result of a fino corner kick. The marooija scored shortly after, th<*. result of a w-ell placed centre from Hawkins. Tho local team hud tho best of the second spell, and about bulf way through scored No. 2. The naval team soon after equalised, the result of ono of their good combined forward rushed. Tho game ended without further score. The refereo wa«t provided by tho visitors, Riul ho gave every pati&fuction.
