J. Roberts, lasb evening. It was decided to entertain the visitors on the ovening of Saturday, 9th July, on which date they play against Wellington, nnd on tho following Sunday aud Monday. A committee consisting of Messrs. White (Secretary), Amies, Auld, Shields, and Hamilton was appointed to carry out the> arrangements connected with tho entertainments. It wns decided to postpone the senior matches on Saturday afternoon to permit of a representative trial matoh being played. Swifts and V.M.C.A. were granted permission to piny matches against two teams from H.M.S. Tnurangi. Tho Sccret-nr}' of the New Zealand Associntion has rrceived a letter from tho New South Wales Association stating that Mr. Robinson had been selected manager of the tonm, nnd Messrs. Rae and Mnher delegates from tho Association to any conferences that may be held during the stay of tho team in New Zealand. Mr. Robinson hnd been elected captain, nnd Mr. Mooro vice-cAplain. whilst tho 1 committee- would bo composed of theso I two officers 'and Mr. Harrison. A meeting of tho Wellington Football , League of Australian Footbnll was held j lust ovoning, Mr. R. Cameron presiding. Messrs. Cameron, Mulcnhy, and Onllnghnn were deputed to draw up rulos to .suit the League. Tho championship fixtures will commence noxt Saturday. Arrangements aro being uiade to secure grounds.
