A SHOCKING ACCIDENT.
[BT TBLKOBAPH— rBKSS ASSOCIATION.! NAPIER, 26th January. A terrible- accident occurred thia ovening at Hastings just ns the e^rosfl train from Wellington wa« coming into the station there. Mis« Jeunuiu Duncan Heath, a -young ludy living in Napier, who wa» employed as typisto nnd fitfiiographer at the recently-opened Frimley Conning Factory, was riding her bicyclebceido tho rnihvay track in order to get on to the station platform. She somebow collided with a pedestrian, with the result that sh« watt precipitated on to the lino just as the train rusfied in, three carriages and tho guard's van paraing ove-r her. When pulled out it avds found that tho body bad been mangled almost ■beyond recognition. Dentil had been inBtantoneous. Tho deoe««ed young lady, ■who waa very highly esteemed, was an orphan. She was a daughter of tlu> late Mr. Neil Ifcath, at ono tinio head rnahter of tho Napier Boys' High School.
