During the evening an excellent programme of vocal and instrumental music was performed by tho pupils in a manner that reflected tho greatest credit on them anft on the Sisters of Mercy who have had them in charge. The programme included several choruses, pianoforte selections by Misses Jenkins, M. Gudgeon, K. Grey, Evans, D. Tanner, G. Blacklock, and M. Nielson. Songs by MisH Pulsford, Mies Muriel Blake, and Miss Irma Wallace, and a recitation by • Miss Ailoen M'Grath. In a brief upeech at the conclusion of the proceeding« Archbishop Redwood referred to the success of the Convent pupils in tho Civil Service, matriculation, and musical examinations, and wished the pupils a pleasant holiday. PIPITEA PRIVATE SCHOOL. * The annual distribution- of prizes in connection with the Pipitea Private School took place yesterday afternoon. Tho childreniin classes 1, 2, and 3 went through dumbell and wand exercises, and range wore given by thoso belonging to the kindergarten division. Recitations were contributed by Helen Richmond, Violet Nelson, and Monu- Dumbell, and some carols were sung. A feature of the entertainment was the production of a cantata entitled "Tho Wishing Stone."
