The City Council last night gave perV mission to the Public Schools Cricket Association to play cricket on Newtown X'ark on Saturday mornings, subject to the consent of the Superintendent of Reserves being obtained every Saturday that ttie ground is fit for use ; also that the Cricket Association be granted two pitches at Kowtown Park on tho 26th instant, subject to the conditions a» mentioned in the Schools Association permit).
