The Washington correspondent of the Daily Mail states that the loss through the building trade strike in New York is estimated at thirteen millions sterling. THE HEAT WAVE IN AMERICA. NEW YORK, 13th July. Eighteen additional deaths have occurred in New York as the result of heat. The wave lias now broken. A NEGRO LYNCHED. NEW YORK, 13th July. A negro was stabbed, hacked, and elowly tortured to death in the village of Devon, in West Virginia, for assaulting a little girl. . UNION BANK OF AUSTRALIA. LONDON, 13th July. The balance-sheet of the Union Bank shows the deposits to amount to £15,949,226, cash investments £5,904,762, and bills and securities £14,371,228.
