Owing to the large amount of shipping at. the wharf to-day, work has been considerably hampered through shortage of labour. The schooner Jessie Niccol is to leave Lyttelton to-day with a load of produce for Wellington. Mr Miunett, Ute purser oC the Uaupiri, has rejoined his old ship the -Takapuna, Mr Bates taJcmg up his former position on the Wainui. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Eu«x>ehu, which, is to leave Jjyttelton to-day for London, takes the following Wellington passengers : — Firit saloon — Captain Colnaghi, Mr May. Second saloon — Miss Frood, Kec Monckton, Messrs Wilson, Stokes. Fifteen steerage passengers ulbo booked from here. Early this mormug the signal station announced the appearance off the Heads of a full rigged ship. The vessel signalled for a tug at 7 o'clock, but soon after this she stood off to the eastward, and has not come within sight of the station since. BY TELEGRAPH.
