A MYSTERIOUS DISEASE. [rRESB ASSOCIATION ] (Received December 20, 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, 19th December. The Commissioners who are investigating the mysterious disease known as "sleeping sickness," in Uganda, report that seventy thousand natives have died from the epidemic in four years, and fifteen thousand are still suffering. The disease is stated to be incurable, and it is increasing hi virulence. A- HOSPITAL STRUCK BY LIGHTNING. (Received December 20, 9 a.m.) LONDON, 19th December. , Lightning destroyed the itospital at Kampala, a fortified post to fhe northwest of Lake Victoria Nyanza. The patients were uninjured.
