It is semi-officially reported ab Brussels thab the Counb of Flanders has abdicated his claim to succession to the throne in favour of his son. [King Leopold, ■who is in his 68th year, has three daughters but no son. The Count of Flanders, heir-presumptive, is his brother, and has one son, Albert, born in 1879, and married in 1900 to the Princess Elizabeth of Bavaria.]
