ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
[BT TELEGBAPH — PKESS ASSOCIATION.] NEW PLYMOUTH, 10th November. An elderly man named Morris dropped dead this afternoon while working on a farm at Mangorei. He lately came from Petone, where his wife, it is understood, is at piesent on a visit. | A fireman named Parker ran a tedhot nail in his foot on the night' of the fire at the Hotel Commonwealth, and the wound is now so serious that the loss of portiou of the foot is feared, as the man is in a critical state. WAIROA, This Day. A serious trap accident occurred last evening. While a party was going down the hill from the Heads .in a two-horse wagonette the brake refused to act, and the occupants were thrown out. Mrs. Johansen had a leg and her shoulderblade broken, and was taken to the hospital. Mrs. Olsen had her collar-bone broken, and sustained other injuries, and the other occupants were severely bruised and shaken.
