The weather on the west coast of the Noith Island is not at all favourable. The Mana nnd Kirip'ikn, being unable to get into Paten, were at ■WniitfJinni ibis morning, and the Aoroie is probably sheltering. The Queen of the South has been bar-bound at Foxton for some days. The Kinpaka will come to wellingtonwellington to-morrow. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer ■WaiUato ended an unfortunate voyage from London to New Zealand by arriving at Port Chalmers to-dny. She left the Thames on the 4ih June, so that the voyage, including all delays, occupied 130 days. The vessel has cargo for Dnnedin and Lytteltnn only, and will not come to Wellington. The Warrimoo left Sydney for Wellington direct at 3 o'clock on Saturday nftemoon, and should iencb port on Wednesday afternoon. Shu lias 45 snluou and 76 steerage passengers on hoard aud 2'Si tons of cargo, including 810 case 3ot fruit. The new stenmer Victoria, built for Mosn-s Huddurt, Parker and Go's use in the intercolonial tiade, let London on the 4tli inbt under command of Ciipttun Free, formerly of the Miowera. She is coining via Cnpotown and Fremantlo, and is expected lv New Zealand waters in December. The Tyser steamer Star of Australia will be laid up at Wellington fur about. 10 days. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer "Whakatane arrived nt Monte Video on Friday en route to London from New Zen land. The Adiniralty-charteied collier Mercedes left port on Saturday afternoon for Hongkoug. The A. and A. steamer Goodwin was to have left New York for New Zealand on 22ud August, hut no confirmation of hor despatch has been received here. Assuming, however, that she did' leave on that date, which is probable, she should arrive at Port Chalmers, her first port of call, very shortly.
