The Arbitration Court- yesterday fined John Donnelly £5 for working at less wages than the minimum award of the Court in tho bootmakers' dispute last year, Donnelly being a member of tho workers' union. The Court also fined 1 the Excelsior Boot M?m_facturing Company £5 and costs for employing Donnelly at wages lower than the award. The difference between the wages paid nnd the minimum of the award had been paid up previous to the proceeding*:. At the sitting of the Court this morning, the sheepowners' representative stated that as a result of a conference between the sheepowners and the union it had been arranged to continue the agreement until July, 1905. The Judge expressed his pleasure at the result of the conference.
