[HY TKLr.GHAI'H — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] RUSSELL, This Day. Ivy Norman, three years old, was burned to death close to Russell yesterday. The child was playing with fire when her clothes caught alight. She ran outside, and her mother put her into a tub of water, but the child died shortly afterwards . She was badly burned from the shoulder to the knees. WHAXGAREI, This Day. Mrs. Hansen, of Hukerenui, was nearly suffocated through the burning of her house. She escaped with three children in their night-gowns, through a window. Her husband was away from home at the time. A younger sister was almost overcome by the smoke. HAWERA, This Day. Mrs. Andrew Young died somewhat suddenly at Manaia last night. On being informed by a doctor that she would have to go to the hospital, she collapsed and died within half mi hour. Heart disease and dropsy were the cause of death.
Competition is the life of trade, but no sausage is able to compete with Swan Hum Sausage. — Advt.
