President Roosevelt recently proved what a many-sided man he is by winning a revolver match against Commandant W. D. Snyman, a Boer officei", who was formerly on De Wet's staff, and is said to be the best shot on the South African veldt. The Pie&ident had just received from Germany a. new 32-cahbre revolver -tthicli he wished to try, and the match ■n,is the outcome. The target was set up in a field near the President's hou«=e, at si distance of 50 yards. The President began by placing five shots in succession on the bullseye. Then the commandant took the pistol, but after missing the bullseye with his first tmo shots he retired.
