Tho manufacturer, mannger, or other responsible head is thus in contact with his business, and there is seldom an hour when he does not know evuctly "what is going on, and is not in direct touch with his subordinates. Recent statistics show that the total output of new telephone instruments exceeds a million, and that the value of the tolcphono manufacturing industry in the United^ States etceeds £6.000.00/* n, year.
