POLLARD'S OPERA COMPANY.
There was another very fair attendance at the Opera House last evening. Miss Jessie Ramsay, as "Montana," had a part too heavy for her. Her voice is Very sweet, but there is not enough of it; in the same way, her stage manner ia pleasing, but not impressive. She sang and appeared to most advantage at the beginning of the third act, when "Scenes that are Brightest" led to an imperative recall, and Miss Ramsay received basket! of flowers. Mr. C. Carter was an empliatic success a* "Don Cesar," and his solos were all loudly applauded, as were those of Mr. O'Connor as "Don Joie." Miss A. Smith's "Alas, Those Chimes," was recalled, and the prayer chorus in the first act was beautifully rendered. "The French Maid" is being played at a matinee this afternoon, and "Florodom" will be produced this evening. »
