SEPARATE TENDERS will be ieoeived at the General Post Office, Wellington, until Noon of TUESDAY, tho 30th September, 1902, for tho performanco of one of the following mail steam services between Wellington and Motueka for tho period of one yoar, from the Ist November next to the 31st Ootober, J903, namely: — 1. A weekly servioe each way from the Ist November to tho 31st iilay, and a fortnightly eorvico between the Ist June .and tho 31st Ootober. 2. An alternative service, each way tvneo wookly from the 20th December to t o end of February, weekly from tho Ist March to tho 30th June, fortnightly from tho Ist July to 19th December ; or, "3. A sorvico throo times a fortnight from the 20th December to tho ond of February, once a wcok from tho Ist Maroh to the 30th June^ and' fortnigh/ly from the Ist July to tho 19th December. Motuoka is to be the final port of doparturo of thq steamer on. tho voyugo to Wellington. The service to bo performed by a steamer of not less than 75 long register, with a maximum draught of 7ft, and capable of steaming nol less than eight knots an hour. The vossel's hold or holds to be suitably vontilated. to tho satisfaction of the Postmaster-General, for tho stowago or carriage of fruit. Tenderers aro required to state tho rates to bo charged for passongers, for fruit, agricultural, garden, and dairy produce of all descriptions, ana general merchandise. Tenders, to be endorsed "Tenders for Wollington-Motuoka Mail Servico," must be made on tho printed form of inland mail tondor (which may be obtained at any Chief Poßt Offico), and addressed to tho Secretary, General Post Offico, Wellington. Names, tonnago, and horse-power of steamers proposed to bo used fb bo stated. Tho Postmaster-General reserves the right to renew for a second yoar any oontract entered into.
