[BY TELEQBAPU— PRESS ASSOCIATION.] MASTER-TON, 19th August. At tho meeting of tho Borough Council last night it wus resolved to go before the ratepayer for a further loan of £5000 to reconstruct tho borough gaßworks. There is an existing loan of £10,000 on 'the works, advanced by the Wellington Harbour Boaid. CARTEUTON, This Day. The Works Committeo of tho Borough Council have agreed to pay tho £750 aoked by tho County Council for tho right to purchase water from the head works at Tarutahi. Messrs. W. Fisher and G. R. Sykei were elected respectively Chan-nun and Secretary of tho Curtorton branch of the New Zenlunu Farmers' Union at a meeting yesterday.
