Viscount Hayashi, the Japanese Minister in London, informed a correspondent of the Standard that the sending of the Japanese squadron t6 the naval reviewteas not merely the' act of the Japanese Government, but" was even more the net of tho people, who insisted on paying every honour to the King. The Minister added that the vißit of Princo Akihito Komewu, tho Japanese Envoy to the Coronation, marked the character of the alliance between Britain and Japan.
