FIRE AT WANGANUI

1[BT tKUOSAVH— MISS ASSOCIATION.) WANGANUI, 10th August. About 12.45 a.m. a fire broke out in the Loan and Mercantile Company's buildings. A gale was blowing, and the building was totally destroyed. Pull particulars axe not obtainable to-day. The cause of the fire is unknown, aa business was not conduoted in. the building on Saturday. It is stated, however, that some members of the staff lit lanterns there in the evening. The stock was insured in the New Zealand office for £4140, and the building in the Oonv mercial Union for £2070.
