DISABLED IN MED- OCEAN. DRIFTING HELPLESSLY FOR A MONTH. [PBKSS ASSOCIATION.] FIIEMANTLE, Bth May. The steamer Willyonnia yesterday evening picked up a lifeboat belonging to the transport Boveric, containing the chief officer and throe of the crew. They report that the Boveric, while on a voyage from Melbourne to Durban, with 900 horsos, lost her propeller when fifteen hundred miles from Freinantle. SYDNEY, Bth May. The Boverio's horses were valued at £15,000, and the ship and cargo at £60,000. It is assumed tho vessel has been drifting for at least a month. EXPERIENCES OF THE WHALEBOAT. TWENTY-SEVEN DAYS AT SEA. (Received May 9, 10.17 a.m.) PERTH, This Day. Tho Boverio's tail-shaft broke short at the stern tube, and the propeller was j lost. Eight days were allowed to elapse in. the hope ox the vessel receiving assistance, and then it was decided to | send to Fremantle. The crew of the whaleboat consisted of Mr. Haymon, chief officer, Mr. M'Oarthy, second officer, and Dry and Tim* mine, seamen. For eighteen days they experienced light winch, and then a succession of gales for the remaining nine days. They suffered • but little discomfort, getting only an occasional wetting. Mr. Hayman has little fear of the* Boverio running short of provisions.
