MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
Mr. R. Kecno addressed a meeting of Rosoncath ratepayers at tho local schoolroom last night, Mr. Wishart presiding. Tho candidate said ho Lad been in tho Council for years, and ho had as good a grasp of Molroso Borough matters as any Councillor at the table. Ho had always been iv progressive member, and hud donu his level best to punh tho interests not only of the Island Bay Ward, which ho represented, but of tho whole borough. Ho complained that, many votes passed by the Council had not been oxpeuded. Thin was not so much the fault nt tho Council ns of the Mayor, who Mas the executive oflicer. Ho (the candidate) had said again and again, that if there were not MilUcicnt lticn in tho Council's employ to cany out needed works, the works ou;;ht to bo carried out by contract.
