MR. MAUGHAN BARNETT'S ORGAN RECITALS. TO THE EDITOR.

Sir,— As a regular attender of these enjoyable recitals, I am surprised to notice the number of persons who come and contribute nothing to the collection. Those persons should remember that on occasions when the church is crowded and numbers turned away unable to get seats, they are in all probability keeping out those who would willing contribute to the collections, which I understand are made for the organ fund.— l am, etc., DIAPASON. Wellington, 7th October, 1901.
