BRISBANE, This Day. The Kanaka Bill introduced into the Federal Parliament by Mr. Barton has raised a storm of indignation in Queensland., The State Premier (Hon. R. Philp) has addressed a strong letter to Mr. Barton, in which he says that notwithstanding the indications of the prohable' .policy of the Commonwealth .on tho subject, Queensland was not prepared for legislation so summary and so drastic as that contemplated. Mr. Philp says he considers it most extraordinary that legislation superseding all the Queensland Acts passed after careful consideration by successive Governments should be drafted without consulting the Government of the State most ' concerned.
