Colonel Kekewich, operating northwast of Rustenburg, in tho western Traifevaal, captured 35 Boers, 60 horses, 30 rifles, and five wagons full of clothing. > A train was accidentally derailed tt Standerton, on the Natal-Pretoria linfc. Six Dragoon. Guards were killed and 36 injured. Details of the Vlakfontein affair shoty that the British intended to capture i party of 50 roving Boers, and tho gun» opened fire at 200 yards. ' On the Boers surrounding the British, and encircling them with a brisk rifle fire, the breech-block of one gun, with the belongings of both, were destroyed, and the breech-block of tho second gun •was buried before the force surrendered.
